The Cormorant Tree, a new musical with book and lyrics by Steve Darlow and music by Glenn Tollett, is set in the mid-19th Century, on the Devon coast. Romance, sisterhood, loss, smuggling, conflict, deceit, madness, and corruption.
The musical features 13 original songs, all having a folk/west country/Gaelic feel, and the show can be performed by a cast of 7 people minimum, with a band of 5 musicians (and it is suggested that 2 of these are actor-musicians).
The show lasts approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes and can be performed in one or two Acts.
